Herbology: Traditional Remedies and Delightful Edibles

Traditional home remedies and personal care uses of herbs are explored in this hands-on class. We make our herbal preparations according to long-practiced, traditional Ayurvedic, Native Indian, and folkloric uses of common herbs and local drought tolerant native plants. We also take field trips to view plants growing in their native habitats.

Tasty Acorns and Other Yummy Native Foods
Learn how to prepare acorn dishes, starting from scratch. Acorns, which are plentiful here, are high in protein and healthy complex carbohydrates. We also cook other delicious, Native vegetables, teas, and grains.
